Champoux Vineyard gets a massive makeover

April, 2020
Champoux Vineyards is getting a 21 acre replant and it is all being done by hand! That is a massive effort and means digging 43,500 holes and planting 43,500 vines one at a time! And all while practicing safe social distancing. The purpose of the replant was to replace aging Muscat, Chardonnay, Lemberger, and Marquette vines with specific clones of both Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Champoux will now be planted to 100% red Bordeaux varietals.
